it's more vocabulary. I'll show you what we need to
learn (gerund and infinitive) and the vocabulary you can
search on the book page 153.
1- Gerund and Infinitive
-Use gerund after same verbs and expressions. E.g. admit, avoid,
give up, finish, help, etc.
-Use infinitive with to after certain verbs and expressions. E.g.
decide, appear, agree, can't wait, expect, etc.
-Use infinitive without to after the modal verbs and after the
verbs make and let.
ATENTION:
* In the passive voice make is followed by the infinitive with to. E.g.
In the school we were made to wear a uniform.
* Some verbs can be followed by gerund or infinitive WITH TO, without
changing the meaning. E.g. begin, start and continue.
REMEMBER:
* Gerund: as applied to English, it refers to the usage of a verb (in its -ing form)
* Infinitive: the infinitive of a verb is its basic form with or without the particle to.
Hope I've helped you, Matheus, jus10
