Soooo, let's gooo with this
1.Past Modals
These are verbs like: must have, might/may have, can't have and should have
-MUST HAVE- express certainty, you're sure or almost sure that, that thing you're thinking would happen
ex: We must have taken the wrong turn again.
-MAY/MIGHT HAVE- express possibility
ex: You may have left them in your jacket pocket.
-CAN'T HAVE- express an abusurd, a thing that's impossible to happen.
ex:You can't have read it properly.
-SHOULD HAVE/ OUGHT TO- express something which was wrong, or something that you might have said before it happened.
ex:I should have told you earlier that she was coming.
2. Verbs often confused
2.1 Realize and Notice- Realize is when a person understand something. And notice is when the person pay attencion to details.
2.2 Rise and Raise- Rise is when something turns bigger then it already is, like the sea level, it rises. And raise, is to turn something higher then it already is, like when you grow up, you're raising.
2.3Discuss and Argue- Discuss is when you expose your on ideias politily, and argue is when you "fighting" verbally with somone.
2.4 Prevent and Avoid- Avoid is to scape from any situation, and prevent is do something before something happens.
2.5 Remember and Remind- You remember yourself, but you're remind for another person.
2.6 Hope and expect- When you hope you don't put your feelings on it, but when you're expecting, you're deeply wanting that thing to happen.
2.7 Mind and Matter-Mind is your action, and matter is not.
2.8 Stolen and Rob- Stole is with small things, like a bike, or a car, but rob with institutions, banks...
2.9 Listen and Hear- When you listen you're pay attencion to every little detail, and when you hear you're not at most times even care about what people are saying.
2.10 Look and Seem- When a person say that you look like somebody, she's saying this physically, and when they say you're seem sad or happy, is the expression that your face is showing.
3. Had better and Would rather
3.1 Had better- you use when you want to express the same as SHOULD. And you can not use the infinitive + TO in those cases.
3.2 Would rather- you use when you want to express the same as PREFER. And the negative form is rather NOT. You can not use TO after verbs in the infinitive at this case.
